Muddy creek caused upstream of Lueg property

Log of extreme rain days (below is the entry to the Lueg lot)

HurricanE Helene 2024

In September 2024, Highlands experienced a 4" rain storm and then a few days later a 14" rain storm. The small stream of 3" max turned into a strong creek around 24" and carried significant run-offs. During that event the silt fence failed.

* The plateau was out of power for weeks

* Dillard road (HWY 106) was closed for month

* All contractors headed to Asheville to save lives

* Only 1 road was open to Highlands

Sunny Day 8/16/2024

On a sunny day the stream turned muddy with no obvious reason. Somethings is going on upstream of Lueg property.

Light Rain on 5/12/2024

The light rain should not have caused run-offs, but the creek is very muddy. Somethings is going on upstream of Lueg property.
